Hawaii Wedding Style... On SALE!

Here's a few hints about today's theme: Lovely ladies, Maui and... SALE! Two of Pacific Bride Guide's fave ladies on Maui are offering big savings for Island brides-to-be. I've adored designer Tamara Catz's breezy style since first visiting her shop a couple of years ago in the sleepy town of Paia. For the girl that's big on the beach and low on the fuss, Tamara's dresses are a perfect fit. We just got wind (and, of course, had to share!) that Tamara's hosting a Blowout Bridal Sale online and in her shop October 19th-25th.

I'm so used to seeing Tamara's flowing gowns that when I came across this sequined tank dress I just about fell off my seat. I could totally see myself in this with gold slippers and a couple of Pua Jewelry bangles. And the price? $265. Sweet.

Lovely Maui gal Lisa Lappe, affectionately known as Mauidivegirl in the Etsy world, is offering shoppers 15% off on all pink jewelry through the month of October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Her 'Pacific Cluster' necklace has stolen my heart- and to help a great cause? Even better.

A wedding in Hawaii is all about blue skies, sand between your toes AND great style. For more of our fave local designers click here!

Wedding Style: Surfer Chic and Elegance on Maui

While I was searching for images for Pacific Bride Guide's website, a bunch of the images I loved were taken by Maui photographer Stew Pinsky. When I got in touch with Stew about using some of his images for the site, he was so supportive and gave a big thumbs up. I'd been hearing such great things around town about him and was thrilled to meet his wife Trina at our Launch Party over the summer. She was so fun to talk to and while I still haven't met Stew, I imagine he's a great photographer to work with. he sent along some of his Maui weddings and I just had to share.

While a ton of brides dream about a beach wedding in Hawaii, I know there are the brides out there that dream of a wedding in Hawaii but want to keep the details a bit more formal. Stew captures two Maui weddings: One surfer chic, and one island-inspired elegant...

Don't you love the pineapple made of mums? Too cute!

Forget the guestbook! Love this idea of signing a surfboard!

For the brides that like it a little more formal, here's a chic wedding on the green...

And a gorgeous shot to leave you wanting more...

Thanks, Stew, for sending these over!

Catch the rest of Stew Pinsky's work on his website and click over to Pacific Bride Guide to see our entire collection of stellar wedding photographers... Hope we got your Monday off to a great start!

Maui Photographer Joanna Tano just got in touch with a couple of shoots she recently did around Maui. She captured some really fun shots around the Wailuku area and Iao Valley in this engagement session...

What can I say? Hawaii's beautiful and I'm so happy I get to wake up to blue skies and jungle all around me... I digress... A couple more of Joanna's shots to get you itching for a Maui wedding...

A big mahalo to Joanna for sending these our way! Makes me want to take a Maui stay-cation!

The Pacific Wedding Guide Collection: New Additions

Were you guys loving that Kauai post? Yeah, I know, I didn't blog yesterday, but I really wanted you to get your fill of Kauai. That and... it's been so hot over here in good 'ole Hawaii! Don't get me wrong, I love Hawaii and I shouldn't complain because doesn't Texas get to be like over 100 degrees? Yeah, I should stop complaining. And I should cut the heat rant short because I've got new vendors to introduce to you! So without further ado...

C'mon, that bar is amazing, right? I received a lovely email a couple of days ago from wedding planner Aleah Valley of The Good Life Special Events. So I had to check them out, and the first photo of this amazing custom bar designed for a Washington State wedding stole my heart! So here's the deal: Aleah and husband Nick are based in Southern California, but they love Hawaii and also get their hands on many a Maui wedding. Have no fear- Shayna Quito is their Maui Senior Associate, based on the Valley Isle and ready to take your Maui wedding to new and amazing heights. But just for the record, this bar? I'd die for this bar.

There's nothing I love more than discovering an 'under the radar' vendor, especially photographers! I discovered Joanna Tano while surfing the net this past week and instantly fell in love with her style. I love love love the way her photos, like, steal these intimate moments. And the lighting? Amazing. A local girl from Maui, Joanna's got a great eye and I'm so glad I found her!

This week we're also saying hello to Dianna Shitanishi of Hawaii Weddings and Events. You know you're in good hands with Dianna: 1) She's a former director of catering and conference services at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental (now the Kahala Resort) and 2) is the only person in Hawaii to hold both the distinctions of CPCE (Certified Professional Catering Executive) and CMP (Certified Meeting Planner). Bam. Check out this recent article about Dianna in Pacific Edge Magazine's wedding issue...

Well, friends, guess what? Sunday's my Birthday! You want to hear the line-up I've got planned for this weekend? Saturday: John Legend concert. Sunday: Kayaking and Lanikai house party. Monday: Girls Night at Du Vin! So excited!

Have a fab weekend!
